Catch up

Hi there, sorry I haven't been on here for such a long time, I really have been busy, I swear. I am now 3 months into my Erasmus year in Barcelona and I love it here. I have made so many new friends, not to mention improving my Spanish! I'm really going to miss it when I leave. Matters have gotten worse though again, financial this time and my family are driving me even more insane than ever. I'll admit that I've made a few errors, but then again who hasn't. Nan has been surprisingly quiet throughout the whole thing, yet Mum has become sanctimonious and preachy, basically she's turning into Nan more and more every day and she wonders why I don't want to stay in the UK for New Year! Every time I go home get more upset than when I'm away! She refuses to understand that!!!! :( We'll see what happens!

Twitter insania!

Hi there again! Let me first say that I have been embraced and welcomed into the world / family that is Twitter! I love it, it's a neat, tidy way of keeping up to date with news & views and celebs. Recently I have embarked into the unknown, following people who like Justin Bieber, due to the insistance of my sister with whom I went to see his concert, which, despite my initial reservations... I quite enjoyed. I must say now having now followed countless 'beliebers', I must say I am getting bored with the "If Justin doesn't follow you follow... and I'll DM him for you" or "follow... their tweets are really good" etc. It was fine to begin with but now I am starting to use twitter less as a method to avoid such dullness. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that you/we love to support young JB in his actions and that most of you eat, sleep and breathe thinking about him, that's fair enough... but going to such repetetive lengths just to achieve a number, is absurd. I am very lucky to have 158 followers (which will probably decrease rapidly following this release), however I am not greedy in the terms that I will do anything to get more people to follow me. Nor do I mind whether or not a 17 year old boy wishes to follow me or not. I will not press him to, it's up to him. In that sense I suppose I am a quiet supporter, wishing him well, but not getting teary eyed every time his name is mentioned. I have had such massive crushes before, but they've all waned over time. Now, at 20, I consider myself not quite above it all, but rather as an impassive viewer. I feel sorry for you Mr Bieber, all this attention must be v difficult to handle, and at such a sensitive age, I would find it difficult too. Flattering, yes, but also extremely overwhelming. Keep at it Justin, keep your feet on the ground and you will do fine! Don't waste your talent :P

Work life balance failure!

Why does life chuck difficulties at you in massive piles?  I mean seriously! Next week I have two exams, two coursework deadlines and an audition. Epic scheduling headache. The exams are on Monday and Tuesday, as is the first coursework deadline and audition. Do I have any time to prepare... hardly. Mind you, when next week is over with I can relax and chill out for a few weeks before it all starts again! This treadmill thing is really getting me down! On top of all this we have a flat inspection due to complaints about our cleanliness, another fail! If this weekend couldn't be any busier I also have two social functions. Busy, busy, busy me!

Word up Mofos!

OMG! It has finally arrived! The Wedding Singer has landed, and I have the hoodie to prove it! I am currently waiting to go the technical rehearsal which starts at 6. We rehearsed with the band last night and it is sounding AWESOME! I'm SOOO excited that I'm writing in capitals! If you haven't bought your tickets please do so NOW! Hello,

Sorry I've been away for so long, lots of things have happened and continue to happen, some of which I'd rather not mention. In any case many developments have been made in terms of social life and exercise levels. If you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you will be aware of my involvement in a fantastic am-dram group called Cygnet Players and am currently about four weeks away from performing in The Wedding Singer as chorus. The rehearsals have sometimes been strenuous, lots of dancing which I am pretty rubbish at I'll admit, but I am slowly improving. The company is pleasant to say the least and we have lots of fun in the pub afterwards! I am very much looking foward to getting this show on the road as they say!

In other news, my year abroad has now been confirmed... I am going to Universidad Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona for three months before moving on to Montpellier! I am so excited though quite nervous as no other Roey students are going at the same time as me... I am on my 'larry'. I am alo relatively nervous regarding my Spanish.... but I'm sure I'll be fine, I'm strong like that, I adapt...
